Ruby Red Blush

A simple 2-rhyme, 8 count wishing poem of sweet romance and affectionate passion ... hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it for you.

  Ruby-Red Blush

Glowed, ruby-red blush ~ when first kissed,

with purely heavenly warmth blissed.

Arms sought to tenderly entwine …

words whispered lovingly divine.

Young sweetness would be surely missed.

When golden dreaming’s dreams persist,

my open heart would then insist

two lives forevermore combine …

glowed, ruby-red blush ~ when first kissed.

Sublimely made, a promise list;

now, never wanting to resist.

Tho’ cloudy days, our sun would shine,

those words you said I wish were mine!

I laid alone and reminisced …

glowed, ruby-red blush ~ when first kissed.

There is nothing "simple" about your poem; the words like petals falling from trees, stars, heaven. Almost in tears, I dared to read the depth and thought back to so many wonderful, wonderful things. It is not my practice nor my want as I don't normally look at the pictures or listen to any song attached to a poem but I simply could not help myself as again I read this...over and over and over. Must be the memories. Thank you for that and this~

I have chills reading your wonderful review!! And, to say you do not make a practice of listening to the music or image that goes along with a poem...but that you could not help yourself with mine is so inspiring. The thing is I never listen to the music attached to a poem...but I do look at the image. If the poet...really spends the time to search for what they feel is the perfect image that really tells the story then that is great. I spend endless hours searching...Perhaps that is because I am an artist... I just finished a very different poem...AWAKEN... and hope to post it today... it is very different from anything I have ever written and the image is so perfect...

OH cool..should be amazing I"m sure and that's what we do here poet..we inspire, read, and share, a pleasure to hear you enjoyed and were so moved, I'll keep my eyes open for this new poem...gotta be the right time though to read it though.. Candles, wine...a hazy moon drifting through the air. A little of this and a sprinkling of that as I do believe setting the room is almost as important as adding the picture or music.
