Crippled Heart

Crippled Heart

A Poem by Caitlin Nicole
"

Kind of a poem version of my story "I can't believe you"

"

Please No CSS

Crowds of people quickly pass,

Avoiding me like broken glass,

They advance in life with such success,

And leave me here an utter mess,

I plead to them with melting eyes,

To not ignore my silent cries,

But it makes no difference what I say,

I watch them leave me, day after day,

I lost all hope in life and death,

And was ready to take my final breath,

When you stopped and stared at me,

Then took my hand and set me free,

I now advance as others do,

Because I stood and walked with you,

Hand in hand we pass them all,

And together we will never fall.

Oh, I really loved this. It's true for you and true for me, though I'm still in the second stanza, just waiting alone. Please keep writing. You have such a clean, real, wonderful voice. Flora.
