THE EXPLODING CUPCAKE

Once upon a time there was a little girl who started a new school.
She was very good at cooking. Her name was Sara. Her school had a baking
contest. It was on Monday. She made an ice cream cake on Saturday, and
put it in the fridge, and the fridge broke that night. and the ice cream
cake melted. Next morning. SHOCK!. "What will  we do mama ?" Mama said
"I know, I have grandmas old recipe book, lets look in there, maybe
there is something quick and easy" . So they went up into the attic and
found the book under a pile of old junk. They brought it downstairs. It
was covered in dust. They looked through the old tattered pages, and a
old piece of parchment fell out. It was folded in half, and very old and
yellow. It also had a strange smell. A smell of untold ages! Sara
unfolded the crumpled paper, and saw a recipe written on it in some old
script. The title of the recipe was "Exploding Cupcakes [Danger]".
Sara's mom looked at it. "This looks easy...I wonder why it says
"exploding"...what a funny name" . So they gathered all the ingredients
together...some were a little strange...things like vinegar and baking
soda..and something called ammonia nitrate. On Monday, at the baking
contest, all the participants had their baking goods presented for the
judges. There were big cakes, small cakes, pies, muffins, brownies, and
cookies. More & more people came to see all the yummy goodies. There were
about 200 people. Sara saw someone bringing an ice cream cake that
looked a lot better than the one she made on Saturday, so she was lucky
that the fridge broke. The judges slowly made their way around the room,
looking at all the entries. At last they came to Sara's table. The
judges inspected the cupcakes very closely. They looked like ordinary
cupcakes. Actually a bit unflattering. The judges proceeded to move on
to the next table when Sara said, "But wait, you have to try one." The
judges looked at each other. One reluctantly picked up a cupcake, peeled
off the wrapper, and took a big bite. Nothing happened. Then Sara said,
"Chew it". The judge proceeded to chew. Slowly at first, and then with
gusto. Suddenly there was a big bang. The cupcake exploded. Cupcake
dough flew everywhere, covering the face of the judge. Everyone started
laughing, even the judge. The judges all looked at each other, smiled,
and the head judge said, "Sara wins!" Everyone clapped and cheered. Sara
passed out more cupcakes, and soon cupcakes were exploding everywhere,
and people were hysterical with laughter. Somebody shouted, "Three
cheers for Sara! Hip Hip Hooray, Hip Hip Hooray, Hip Hip Hooray!"
That night Sara was on the local news. She soon became famous for her exploding cupcakes, and made a company to manufacture, sell and export exploding foods. She named it　"The Exploding Food Company". Soon, adults and children around the world could enjoy exploding food. It became very popular at parties and banquets and not so much at funerals.
