This Night and I

This Night and I

A Poem by Wondering about Wonders
"

me and my lover night

"
This night and I, we are so similar,
So lonely and forgotten
Our only lovers are each other
And we feed each other as well
Night comes and sees me once a day
She comes every day, she is so faithful
Sometimes I stay with her sometimes I don’t
But at the end of the day, she’s always here
She’s my source of inspiration, the mother of my Child called Creativity
She waters my flowers of imagination, and harvests my mind for daylight
She tries her best, she does
So tonight, I thank her-the night- for being there for me
For understanding me and feeding me intellect
A true goddess she is
She is my
Good Night
