Oh Captain Oh Captain an Ice Burg Caught the Net

Oh Captain Oh Captain an Ice Burg Caught the Net

A Poem by Paige
"

Social Media: sharing our best and worst and allowing us access to everything & every being in between. Are we capable of using the "net" for bountiful catch or do we only find the ice burgs head on?

"
It's terrifying to me that at any *beep* my past has come to knock
It's unsettling to know your face may lurk behind my favorite fingerprint
What note will you leave me hanging on this time?
Is it tag with birds?
Hearts left behind the camera?
A thought left on my dash?
Or will it be more of a book leaving me a string of words too small to form a noose?
And here I sit in fear of when I'll find your clues
Flying high in a happy moment
In a mess of sorrow
Will I be in a state surrounded by my peers
or in an intimate moment only beside myself
Lost in a sea of no control I realize the scariest of facts
I captain the ship that sails me further into the voyage of endless surprises
Yet I say onward
and I hear the click and tap
I'm left inside an imaginary world as only another addicted sap

Very clever little ways of referring to Twitter and Instagram. Paige, you're becoming my favorite poet to read on here. You have a way of making the ordinary sound extraordinary.
