Sloth

Sloth

A Poem by Pamcocoa
"

I saw this idea on pinterest where you write about each of the seven deadly sins without directly naming them in the poem. It intrigued me.

"

Stuck.

Unwilling and unable to do

What is necessary and expected.

Wrapped up in a blanket of tar

And quicksand

I feel myself sinking into a pit I created

I did this to myself

and yet it feels like it is being done to me,

Forced upon me like a burden.

Immobile, paralyzed, helpless.

Trapped.
