It'll be Alright

It'll be Alright

A Poem by Alexis L. Thompson

From the setting sun
to the stars at night.
Young boy don't cry.
It'll be alright.

From the warm summer colors
to the winter of white.
Young boy don't cry.
It'll be alright.

Every dream that you had
or that is to come.
seems so out of reach.
Keeps you feeling numb.

And the birds in the sky
have more of a goal
than you'll ever have.
It empties your soul.

From the peace of the people
to the fear and the fright.
Young boy don't cry.
It'll be alright.

From the calm ocean waves
to the harsh currents fight.
young boy don't cry.
It'll be alright.
