Night in the Day

Night in the Day

A Poem by Madness is Insanity

light in the dark - except the other way around (inspired by 'To the girl with a broken heart' and 'Brave Heart')

The night hiding in the day
Light showing above all
Darkness comes out to say:
'follow me or take your fall'

Shadows follow all day long
Out loud it wildly shouts:
'come, with me, sing a song',
sowing seeds of doubt

Through the day, into the night
The shadows softly whisper
'come with me now or take your flight
And never hold your sister'

'For all you know, your life might not
be worth the trouble that you have got

For all the circles that you make
For every step that you will take

Around and round, it spirals down
Your live,Your love,Your hope
Your dreams scream, going round
And it all turns into smoke...

I'm not sure what this was meant to be originally, but I think that this turned out ok. What do you think?

Read most of my writings and you'll find that this is my kind of poem. Amazing, graceful and beautiful but at the same time deadly. I love it.

Wowee! Amazing imagery there, and what is more amazing sort of feel, Death was knocking at my door as I read this.
A few booboos, you had some spaces missed out (is your spacebar as sticky as mine?) and grammatical issues, but the rhyming was spectacular. I also liked the bridge, where you changed your abab timing to aabb.
All in all I loved it.
