A DayDream

A DayDream

A Poem by Charlee Rose

I sit and watch the sun rise,
and see the look in his eyes.
As I start to see,
He's not happy with me.
I don't want to be sitting in the street,
staring at my feet,
sitting in the dark night
saying my prayers in the streetlight.

I don't know why,
But I always see a dark sky.
I'm full of motivation,
to get an education.
But when I'm in my bed
there's something in my head,
that a day's going to come
when I won't be able to write a simple sum.

It's such a dreadful sight
To see me in a fight.
I want to live the happy life;
where there is no strife.
But I'm not afraid anymore.
There's no matter of the score.
It's time for me to do things myself,
and leave my past on the shelf.
