A Lover's Wish

A Lover's Wish

A Poem by Sagar Patil

I wish there was a measure of Love,
And mine me gauged on it first
For then my mind will such fervour avow,
Such as will make its scales burst.

Visit my musings and I shall roam yours
O fair flower, do bless my lonely soul
Oh! how cruel can love be, how mine endears
By thy presence, so happy and whole

Wish I could some day sprout two wings
Or ride on Pegasus, to the heavens
Beg Gods to shower on thee some blessings
More glorious than thousand ablaze suns

Although rancorous fate made us...born apart
And Princess, away if we stay must
Yet angel don't we live in each others heart?
You lead to banishment of all fickle lust

Wish you an expanding Universe of joy,
And mirthful laughter and glee
Wish myself a dream, per Cupid's ploy
And in that, the charming thee.
