Heart Breaker

Heart Breaker

A Poem by Kait
"

I wrote this after the first heart I broke. Poor guy. I truly am sorry but you just weren't right.

"

You meet my gaze.
You glare away.
You break my heart
With the words you don’t say.
Icy heart
I feel yours form.
Bitterness, my fault?
Yes I brought on this storm.
It felt wrong.
I let my gut speak.
You tried to push me closer,
And it made me freak.
The tallies add up.
I’m two for two.
Is that gloating?
Ugh! It’s all too new!
I’m eager for love,
But as you get close
I feel scared and young.
Suffocated, an overdose.
Trespassing into my heart,
My feeling, and my mind.
I cherish my youth but life I’m ready to start.
What a bind!
