Wet Day

Wet Day

A Poem by Penulis Kecil
"

Wrote this one in my poetry group a few weeks back, been meaning to add it for a while.

"

Children, like otters, splash

grey puddled tears

spilling while grownups scurry

umbrellas raised to the sky

and feet tiptoed dry

shouting

"you'll catch

your

death!"

this is a very delicate tapestry of sight and sound. i loved the opening similie and the image 'feet tiptoed dry,' in fact the whole poem felt very playful. fantastic.
