The Flower-Printed Sofa (Blue and Firm)

    Sitting for some moments, she sensed herself slowly slide off the sofa.  At a suitable stopping point in the story, she slipped her finger in to mark her sentence, stood up, and nudged the cushions back in place with her knees.

I was going to say "short and simple", but I'd rather say "short and sweet".

This is a perfect example of giving charm to the most mundane things in life.
