Word Vomit

Word Vomit

A Poem by Persephone

Fiery and raw

My psyche burns

I heave

Attempting to withhold my boiling bitterness

But it’s too late

I can hold the poison in no longer

The pain must come out

I’ve got to throw it up

It spews from my lips

With atrocious words

The sickness

Spills out of me

Inevitably landing on others

Those unlucky enough to lend an ear

Out of my mouth

And onto their souls

For me

Losing the burden of it is bittersweet

There is a relief that comes with letting it out

But it leaves a ghastly mess to clean up later

What a great poem. I have made a few of those ghastly messes to clean up in my lifetime. I love your eagerness to dish it! it's firey and so internally productive. But externally it can have lasting effects especially with significant others. Great job! This is now one of my Faves!

This is so dang true . . . and once you let the insults and negativity out, you can never take it back

So very true, you can't hold it in but if you don't be constructive as you let it go it is very much every bit as messy as vomit! An excellent poem IMO. :)

So glad you got rid of it....
All what is making you nausea
Needs to get out, if it's people, just being ill,
or wrong food... lol, you did this very well.
(personally I, would not love to give it to others)
But I can imagine you were just that angry, you had to
And you (or the head person ) had no choice.

Wonderful write.
