The Heartbreak Effect

The Heartbreak Effect

A Poem by David Keagan

Driving out here on this old barren road,
As I contemplate the love we once both bestowed.

A deep breath of air exits my lungs,
My heart feels penetrated by your blazing guns.

Your words pierced my dignity like a sharp, shiny dagger,
The thought of turning around doesn't seem to matter.

I turn right on the straight, narrow path,
Now my body burns in a dark, fiery crash.

U seem to be a 'dark man' David Keagan! I love the darker side of art, speaks volumes of truths about ourselves that our 'everyday' smile hides. Good job dude.
