Island of Me

Island of Me

A Poem by phoenix on the rise

am i me or am i you?

An island lost at sea.

Lost souls, trying to find their way out.

But it is in vain.

An island of me,

Lost in a sea of you.

The tides are too strong,

and the old hazards are still there.

Freedom is on the horizon,

and beauty is there with it.

But it is just a mirage.

An image of my dreams,

a glimpse of a naive hope.

Old habits and ancient comforts still remain,

But all the joy is gone.

The drink loses its taste,

the food becomes ash,

and all the hope begins to fade away.

An island of me,

lost forever in a sea of you.

Forever forgotten, and forever unwanted.
