The sum of Aging

Poem about reaching middle age

Silver threaded through raven hair

history of smiles and frowns and wear

 

Gravity weighs heavy

and that's not all

 

No heels plus arthritis

so not quite as tall

 

Lines and creases

dimples and moles

 

But wisdom and knowledge

to play many roles

 

Grandma and friend

Mother and wife

 

Looking forward to play

still a student of life
