Hope

Darkness invades
My thoughts overtake
How can I keep this up
This pain is heavy
It feels like it's too much to take
Why can't people see my pain
How can I reach out without feeling shame
I want to scream out
I want to show my pain
But instead I bottle it up and keep it away
I could end this pain
But how could I give it to others to obtain
My life seems so dark
How can I get these thoughts to not invade
For today I stand alone in darkness, for the hope of tomorrow to show me the light
