Oh, the classic Humphead Parrotfish.

A hilarious animal I say,

and very unusual too.

It is the most momentous creature in

the ocean.

Though, it is picky,

for it only eats the algae off corals.

Oh, and it is a heafty fish and

can take on almost anything that comes its way.

Get past its funny looks, and it turns into

an exquisite and

astounding fish.

Most of the time, it dines on more than just

algae, but the corals that it(algae) lives on.

Its rather large mouth chomps off,

by accident, parts of the coral too.

I will say this,

it has a most particuliar look about it.

I know it is an aquatic animal,

but with its rare shape of its body,

and robust build,

and,

what we all see first,

when we take one look at this animal,

its rather odd and large teeth,

it is one of the coolest creatures out there.

Take a quick glance at it,

and the only word that comes to mind is

freaky,

take a closer and longer look and out pops,

intersting.

It is special though, if you think about it.

I mean, it is so different.

It is heavy, weighing in at 68 kilograms!

So, love this poor fishy.

He looks like the Eeyore of fishes. 'Oh, my. Goin' to a parrrty.........'
Poor fellow, such a big job he has, and I suppose the other fish barely give him the time of day, as he peruses around the reef munching on the ever growing supply of corral and algae, thinking, Oh dear, I am soooo behind.
That's what I think.

I really enjoyed the poem, and I loved the pic of the fish. I'm a huge fish fan, myself. At one point in time I had 5 aquariums in my bedroom... What can I say, they're very peaceful.

When I first read the poem, I thought it said "Humped Parrot" when it was spelt in the poem. I found that extremely funny cause one of my friends is known as the "Parrot" (Long story). Finding unusual animals, I think, is really funny. And nice job calling the fish "Freaky"
