Where Do We Stand?

3/23/11 - When people aren't clear about what they want with another person.

Where do we stand?

What am I to you?

Are we in a relationship,

I wish I knew.

You declare your love,

you say you’ll stay,

but the words to bind us together

we never actually say.

So this leaves me wondering,

are we as one?

I’m not entirely sure,

but you say I’m the one.

Then you act as if

I am your territory.

You could at least let me know

before you mark me like a tree!

I would like to know

what our relationship is.

Are we separate

or is everything “hers and his”?

Please let me know

so I can make no mistake.

I don’t know how much more of this

confusion I can take.

I was having a conversation with a friend and this subject came up and I decided to write a poem about it, so it was kind of on a whim so I hope everyone likes it.

Love is a very tricky thing to get into. You're always perspiring, never knowing when that right moment people keep telling you about is coming to tell that person how you truly feel about them. I enjoyed this because it fluent, powerful and filled with so many questions that a lot of people ask themselves about love. Thanks for another great poem

It flows very nicely and i can feel the dfoubt in ur owrds. Some ppl can relate to this, if it doesn't lead to anything, i suggest giving them the boot. Nice write! ^^
