Japan, My Heart's Home

Japan, My Heart's Home

A Poem by Dilan Gray
"

6/30/11 - I was waiting for my plane to come home from Japan and I was not happy about leaving.

"
Japan, what a lovely land,
beautiful to behold.
I didn't expect
even though I was told.
The people are so friendly,
the land, it is so green.
I can hardly believe
what my eyes have seen.
Everything is so colorful;
not dreary and gray.
I'm so happy I came here
and I will come back someday.
My reaction to Japan
was love at first site,
though I first saw
this country at night.
I love japan
and the people I have met
I'll be back again,
on that you can bet.
There were so many sights
and people I was shown.
I have decided:
Japan is my heart's home.

I'm only being honest. What a sweet way to describe Japan.
A poem full of genuine delight and appreciation. I have never been to Japan, but the way you describe it is exactly the way I feel about Italy. It is uplifting when we find such a place. We cannot all share the same experiences, but it is good to know that we can share the same kind of joy! Thank you for sharing this!
