Little Darling

Little Darling

A Poem by Sarah
"

A bed time song for babies

"

It’s time to rest your eyes little darling,

It’s time to rest your head.

You’ve played the day away,

And now it’s time for bed.

It’s time to say your prayers little darling,

Say them loud and clear.

The lord will give you blissful dreams,

He’ll take away the fear.

The sun has gone to bed little darling,

The moon is in the sky.

Close your eyes my angel,

And you watch the fairies fly.

I saw no grammar issues whatsoever, Sarah. Your poem dripped sweetness, the sweetness of that a loving, caring parent has for their child...

If I had one suggestion, it would be to drop the word "you" from the final line of the last stanza, for meter and effect. It would then read as such...

"The sun has gone to bed little darling,

The moon is in the sky.

Close your eyes my angel,

And watch the fairies fly."

Well done...
