An intelligent guide to your nonsense

An intelligent guide to your nonsense

A Poem by Poetic Justice
"

I don't know

"

The concordant sound of his voice

Was threatened by his actions

Which perched alongside her countless excuses

Of course many were from a place of reasonable logic

But the vast majority fitted an unlikely alliance with complete

And utter nonsense

‘no sense’ her mother had grumbled as she picked up the pieces

For the umpteenth time

She pitifully tried to help, brushing as much as she could under the carpet

He seemed to take a vindictive pride in his handy work

Polishing the tops of his deceit with a breath and rub of the sleeve

He could almost see his distorted reflection in them

The door opened as the first of the guests arrived

She straightened her skirt and patted her hair down

To all and sundry she was right as rain

However all and sundry are poor judges of anything

And rain is left as well as right

'The epitome of conjecture is measured only by the calculation of fact'

He so loved to confuse her!

'Your pulchritudinous face is farcical to the obtuseness of your mind'

He so loved to abuse her!

So transparent were her woes you could see right through her

‘So that’s why everyone ignores me?’

No, everyone ignores you because you're with HIM

'But they talk to him?!?'

They talk to him because he's with YOU

Living in the shadow of another, she failed to realize she still shined the brightest. His confidence made her a door mat.

So transparent were her woes you could see right through her

‘So that’s why everyone ignores me?’
No, everyone ignores you because you're with HIM
'But they talk to him?!?'
They talk to him because he's with YOU

I feel like he became the gatekeeper of her sanity. Made beautiful with his presence...but made ugly by his words. Sorry if I'm way off target here, but there is something so visceral about this piece I feel a real need to dissect it....digest it.

This woman.
She is a mouse out of hiding.....

Sounds like you were stuck with Neapolitan at a French tea party,The King of the Bourgeoisie
All the while You were the Queen in the corner, the Diamond in the Crystal chandelier. Seen and not heard until the coast was clear. My heart plops like rain drops at the thought. My Pedestal is way too high to hold the hips of the one who brings life to the Earth satellite of my son. I am full but Some moons will never realize Mother Muse is always number 1, I'll father your inspiration til ink drys and my heartbeat is done. Be forgotten nomore.
