another drink

another poem

 

feelings never disappear

they are there forever

something will always

connect us

 

two nails

elastic band

stretched out

too far

jump back close

 

that’s us

you’re good

haven’t changed

I changed and I’m not too bad?

 

you’re there

I’m here

but still

nowhere is the location

we inhabit

meant to be somewhere else

 

smoke

drink

laugh

cry

read

write

watch and

fall asleep

 

too simple

so simple

 

add love

you get nightmare of the mind

kills dreams

drowns feelings

still there’s no feeling

as good as love

even though

it hurts

it’s equivalent to an amputation

of a leg from a knee downwards

the feeling it comes bearing

is better than drugs

 

emotions flood

false feelings

become false

and the truth is distinguishable

like black from white

 

will you stay,

so we can fall asleep together?

 

maybe another time?

but please do

 

you’re more precious than a feeling

come here and let us stay

together

 

night is our friend

darkness is the air we breathe

 

you’re just like a seed

never leave

you cancerous seed of delight

 

don’t stop

come back

my obsession is sweet

but your presence

is sweeter

 

now leave me again

and let me throw up

my soul
