Let Me Compare You

Let Me Compare You

A Poem by chloe cruz

The elderberry, sweet and tart
like the feel of your arms.
A rush of emotions,
bitter to best.

Ta-da, it comes spritzing like a shaken soda.
Exploding, a sticky mess
that remains on your skin:
a residue stubborn enough
to make you win.

As if taken out from a book, it hooks
you to the climax in the chapter
eager for a happy ever-after.

I loved this! So short and sweet and the second stanza is my fave. Spritzing is probably my new favourite word!
