Companion, Friend, Lover

As you go through life this day,

Facing the challenges that life throws in your way,

Know that I love you.

You are my passion and my inspiration.

My world is made better by the joy you enable in my life,

Allow me to enable a multitude of joys in your life.

You are my companion, my friend, my lover.

Though we are not together physically,

I have you here in my heart,

Thinking of you always.

As you face the world today,

When you find need to focus,

And want for support,

Feel my arms around you,

And the touch of my kiss against your neck.

I am your companion, your friend, your lover.

I will do all in my power to help you on your life's chosen journey,

I will love you every step of the way.

You always do make great romance and love poems. Sometimes I feel as if they are cheesy, but then I reflect and think you are just spreading the love that you have around for others to see, which is a great thing :) I think a lot of your poems could be interpreted into a song lyric and sang!

We do not need physical contact to know the joy of a true companion and friend, but as a lover... Ah. We kid ourselves that the body is not of purpose.
A fine poem but the idea is skewed beautifully with innocent delusion.
