Darkness Of Night

Darkness Of Night

A Poem by poetcheel

This side of the road, the one not

taken.

Walking through the branches,

seeing if he watches,

-- the dark side of my heart.

A life full of surprises and yet

no one happens,

To discover my true-self on this

ghastly sphere.

Full of doubt, full of thoughts,

Never fading away from these

unrealistic dots,

Of whether I stay or fade away.

Deeper and deeper drowning in

your eyes, but my self-hatred is no

lie.

The words spoken, spoken out of

a scream witnessed by your

dreams--

Smiling because I was told, acting

if I were to hold

my unhappiness by my never-changing character.

A loneliness felt by day, and a life

killed by night

A night whom my anxiety desired

my withdrawal overnight.
