BLESSING OF THE GRANDS

A poem to include each of our five grandchildren that range from age 13 down to age one year old. They are a Rainbow of Blessings

Dear Lord, I have a small request

 At this special season of the year;

  You know I love My Favorite Grands

   And hold my grandchildren so dear.

First, there's fair-haired Avaree Rose

 With her sweet southern charm and grace;

  She illuminates every single room

   As her love-light lights each place.

Next, there's Brennan Alan, another 'fav'

 Who never, ever knows defeat---

  No matter the weather or challenge

  This 'Sharpie" lands solid upon his feet!

Then comes along my Marlie Beth Rose

 With her dancing, dazzling blue eyes;

 Her smile awakens the morning sun

   Taking it by complete surprise.

Another Grand 'fav' is Baylor Augustine

 Our little 'Mover/Shaker' for sure!

  Give him an inch and he'll take a mile

    Oozing with pure pizzazz and allure.

Finally, my namesake Jackson Raymond

 My, Oh my--what a handsome guy!

  Just hand him a hammer or soccer ball

   There's nothing he won't seriously try.

"Now which one is your  FAVORITE?"

  Ask nosy neighbors who come to call--

   My Favorite Grand is---God's Favorite

     He equally loves them one and all!
