Illusion & Instinct

Illusion & Instinct

A Poem by poison&kerosene
"

Just hastily writing down my rolling panic attack the past week

"

I make myself small

Folded like origami

In the corner of my dark closet

Don’t breathe

They are coming

Who is?

Who knows?

Stifled shudders

Pleading eyes

I wait for a shadow

A footfall

A villain

Nothing.

My heartbeat sounds  alot like a home invasion

A lot of fear has been making the rounds and many fall victim to the planned occurrence. It helps having friends to talk through one's fears. Come on by anytime.

I have felt that home invasion for the past year and a half....
too much time separated from everyone...and separation from family that has nothing to do with Covid.
Love the imagery you use here, with the origami.
