A Poem by poison&kerosene
"

But for what?

"

The blanket of night begins to unravel

A soft glow envelopes the world in its wake

Pouring orange and pink through my polyester blinds

"Was it not midnight only moments ago?"

I turn my stiff neck as sobriety tidies my thoughts

The abyss took its leave before it could look back

Sort of like a curse that's biding its time. Daylight offers hope but for how long? I can fee sadness in this.

love those last two lines...so much meaning in them.
