A Poem by poison&kerosene

I began writing this with the foolish confidence
that I am capable of naming this grief

Ignorant to believe any adjective that I attribute to this sense of loss
would ever encapsulate what is bursting from my chest

Sometimes words cannot serve the heart
Somethings are just too messy

I agree! Often in matters of the heart we just can't describe it. Well put!

too messy to even write it...
those are the worst feelings that even the pen does not want to deal with.

Sometimes grief is too deep to be named or described. It can only be allowed to run its course, painful as that may be.

You are right my friend.
"Sometimes words cannot serve the heart
Somethings are just too messy"
I don't force out words. I need proper sleep and a shot of whiskey. Then my mind awake. A messy mind, leave us running in circles. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
