Sinner or Saint

Sinner or Saint

A Poem by Patrick Daniel Read
"

This is a piece about realism.. and knowing that I am not perfect..

"

You can call me a sinner..

You can call me a saint.

Either way I can relate..

I done good things in this life..

And I've done bad..

Either way..

It's a great life I've had..

I've found solstice in a bottle..

Solstice in a song..

Both I would like to think..

Have helped me along..

I've found brothers..

On the road..

And I've found sisters too..

Either way It's been a great adventure..

That I'm going through..

I've treated others with kindness..

Treated others with shame..

Whether you call me a sinner or a saint..

I've only myself to blame..

I've given my last dollar..

To help a a friend or two..

I've been praised in this life..

And I've been cursed  too..

Call me a sinner or a saint..

Its your choice..

We all have our own unique opinions,,

All have our own voice..

Call me what you want..

Call me what you will..

I'm gonna live my life my way..

Even when I'm over the hill..

Call me a sinner..

Call me a saint..

Either way I can relate..

But just know its a  hell of a life..

That I've been through..
