Revelation

This poem is inspired by a common experience we all have as humans. As we grow older, we realize that our assumptions regarding how the world works is way different from how we earlier think it does.

                                                                 

                                                                        Revelation

  Growing up, nourishing a bulk of untested hopes and unfiltered desires,

                                                      

   It was a heart-breaking revelation'

                                     

      That there is no heaven to go to, neither there is a saviour.

                                  

 Suddenly, I lost the world I wished to grow up in.
