On Wings of Black and White

On Wings of Black and White

A Poem by Cricket Kidd

On Wings of Black and White
my fingers fly to free my sorrows,

Healing notes caress the heart
from hurts of all tomorrows,

Fears of friends, today, my best,
the future though may see,

A friend no more beside,
instead, a bitter enemy,

My fingers dance across the keys
riding dark arpeggios,

and midst the minor chords,
my sadness ebbs, and then it goes,

and where my sorrows flee,
that knowledge, sadly, I do lack,

I imagine, though, they fly away
on Wings of White and Black

Very nicely done. Love the ending. Now I will ponder for awhile where do our sorrows go? Probably we'll never know. I think this shows you have a lot of skill, anyway that's my opinion. I really like this.
