rendevouzA Poem by rt farrisrelationships have a life of their own
it happens once
each year in the fall when the season turns green leaves into small rainbows while its breezy winds shake the branches of each tree until it's stark naked bare such imperfections visible and vulnerable there much like you and me in our secret nestling place far from our other lives and here after a daring decade of lies we lie skin on skin and eyes on eyes visible and vulnerable we are to one another as the seasons are to the earth as it is to the sun helplessly and inexplicably bound we are like those trees that must succumb to the natural forces we cannot control when autumn with its special magic comes and we end up here unable to explain what we see behind our eyes so we close them and sigh then try to sleep a bit before we say goodbye © 2011 rt farrisReviews
