Never again

Never again

A Poem by Emma Birdly
"

Processing my break up

"
And suddenly, after all is said and done,
I realized, I'm allowed to have fun.

The poison you fed me is fading away,
more and more every day.

And I start feeling again.
I start opening my heart.

... and the emotion of how beautiful life can be,
is never again,
taken away from me.

.. and very fine writing, Emma. You might find those brave words have opened a window and let out some emotions. Tis also true that writing about worries and pain and such is cathartic.. makes one face the hurt then, repetition as needed, helps each time; so that light grows stronger and life better. If if your spirit is as strong as your writing.. go for it! Fee; how YOU want to feel oh so soon. Keep safe, take care. :)

What an important and painful realization, to be so keenly aware of the toxicity of a relationship and its resulting breakup -- yet simultaneously hopeful for "how beautiful life can be" with an open heart. I wish you well and thank you for sharing. Please consider writing more!
