Betokening

Betokening

A Poem by Pete
"

There is no remedy for love but to love more. - Thoreau

"
Rumpled

when i can breathe your rumpled scent on the pillow
feel your visited warmth under the covers
your lingering taste supplicating 'pon my lips

still holding onto the string of last night's kite
i know everything is alright

for certain
not might

ah, the new day will be exceedingly and sweatingly bright

Sounds as though the evening went exceedingly well. Savor it, for even the next hour is not guaranteed.

sad how they destroyed our beautiful country :(
Someone is flying high here after alot of last night's loving and her essence remains in the bed linen even after she has left. Sensual and certainly uplifting Pete. Nicely penned. Isn't love grand?

True :).....
a positive way to
view love and keep
the ethereal essence
it bestows upon us
love holds so many
different emotions
and this one speaks
of continuing brightness
which takes us higher
still..

Nice Work
