Intromission

Intromission

A Poem by Pete

Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves. - Thoreau

How Do Locks Work? | Wonderopolis

clinging to dogma
with an atomic gauntlet hurled downward
caught in a catechistic concordance
in a lurid jail cell with a minion of the devils pawns
unfettered and unfurled
on a first name basis with death
my soul trapped on the fulcrum of a dense reality
time and truth an enigma

in sheer, unmitigated splendor
you came and jiggled a stuck key
tears turned into a rainbow waterfall

introducing me to me
