Grayscale

A Poem by Pete
"

Color, which is the poet’s wealth, is so expensive that most take to mere outline sketches and become men of science. - Thoreau

What is the difference between black, white, grayscale and color images? - Quora

you take the high ground
i'll take the low
with our heavy, black and white feet
born of clay

craven and cursive
we'll meet in the middle
some day

if we can each find our way
learning how to
dream
love
paint
play
and pray

in faded shades of gray

Your poem harkens to my dislike of all the drama that surrounds most things these days. As if the masses don't even register the regular day-to-day that's going on in nondescript B&W. Your msg also speaks of those who have lost some of their faculties for one reason or another & they learn to dream-love-paint-play without the use of some color they always thought they would have access to (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Often we have to meet in the middle for a more peaceful life. That's called compromise. Something I have learned as I have got older. It's not all black or white. It is often grey. That's where your poem took me Pete. Nice little read. All the best.

We all need to learn. I love this. The last line is solid and flowed really well.

Sometimes we have to learn to meet in the middle and many times it takes time before that meeting can even happen
