Or So I'm Told

Or So I'm Told

At the extreme north, the voyagers are obliged to dance and act plays for employment. - Thoreau

A Bass Photo Album | Classical Music Forum

emotions vacationing in an organ loft
mixing metaphors like a bar tender with too many swizzle sticks
unable to hit the spit sink at the dentist
tired of watching the asphalt melt in a nuclear summer
vacillating to and fro
high and low
back and forth 'tween the same few strings on a lowly bass
going goo-goo and gaga like a drooling baby without a binkie

flesh willing
spirit weak
shunning reason and embracing sin
you opened your soul to let me in
but there wasn't any room
you couldn't bear the burden
not without a hernia

craving nature's semen whilst shunning the mess
you wanted to dance but didn't know the steps
so you took the low road
the one with the lighter load
in your eyes, all that glitters is fool's gold
or so i'm told
that and square boulders can't be rolled

Hot, steamy, sexy tale of olden days, of sinful encounters which was bittersweet to remember and recount. Not sure if the narrator regrets or applauds the outcome. Picture is telling a thousand words.
