You'll Be ThereA Poem by PeteThere is no remedy for love but to love more. - Thoreau. heart emptysoul cavernous psalms longing on singular lips separation digs a trench and tears fill its ditch pining for you where went summer where went its bold drummer when will heart strings once again be tethered life bound and leathered when will it vibrate and sing as before spirits soar give me death or give me more marching silently through a lonely night's battle true love never fails its music both dances and wails assuredly inevitably as a ship on its rightful course sails cymbals crash teeth gnash monsters mash separation turns to ash cars with a wheel that no longer spins crash angels never stop singing never stop bringing what is ordained is certain and assured heaven's stage can be anywhere it always cares electricity itself can sing a heart's bell can once again ring if you let the right one in worn inwardly on a lover's lapel like a stick pin slung way down low letting go of what i think strumming steadfast what i know my guitar may be air but i always carry it with me, knowing one day you'll be there © 2022 PeteAuthor's Note
