'Pant Oh Mime'

'Pant Oh Mime'

What I began by reading, I must finish by acting. - Thoreau

"
Classic Pantomime Costume - maskworld.com

striped shirt with suspendered existence
white faced in uniformed inconsistence
sense of identity misplaced
actions traced in pretend haste
black chapeau
blow by blow, pondering what others already seem to know

soft shoe
never quite sure what to do
i feel like a mime
acting out empty motions
painting someone else's canvas with faux, emotions
an unopened bottle of wine
never truly mine

Pete,
MAN! I remember an artist in the sixties who would pour paint on a large canvass and then have naked women roll around on it... I wonder if it would turn out differently if he had angry assistants or depressed ones... but, really, I don't thig anyone's emotions are empty... but a lot of heads are.
