Fall breeze.

Fall breeze.

A Poem by puddles2splash

Floating in wispy reality,

so ethereal yet full of violent surrender,

all alone it cuts through the haze,

before landing on the warm soil so tender.

She reaches out with lazy charm,

to twirl the keepsake one last time,

the joy of memories intertwined with silent loss,

a moment lush with abandon benign.

Leaning back with a wistful sigh,

into the lullaby of the hammock’s murmur,

with eyes glazed in melted dreams,

every whiff of autumn disarming her.

Thawing memories of a frozen soul,

make space for a wrinkled giggle,

soothed by the serene rapture of fall,

far away from the lackluster of society so civil.
