A Poem by purple-aftermath

Chicago is my home,
amongst the northern lights.
Neon lights my world,
and Chicago skylines have my heart.
Chicago is so far away,
but I can see it from my room.

Trains leaving the station,
bringing my vision to Chicago.
The smell of the pizza fills the air,
and people point and stare.

The cubs are playing to night,
and the sox’s got a home run.
It’s a busy night,
while I stay in Chicago.

Chicago is my home,
theres no place I’d rather be.
I can see the neon lights,
I’m playing here tonight.

This can be like personal reflection of musician on the tour. It have strong feeling of personal connection to familiar place. Each line give a detail of realistic abstractions . There nothing more what i can say. Then just it's give me quiet strong impressions of personal observations.

Lived just south of Chicago for ten years, and you capture its flavor very well...both baseball teams on home stands at the same time...didn't happen so often. We would go to Sox/Yankee games in summer and then to Gino's pizza on Rush street afterward.
Lived in the Bronx Until I was almost 9...the feel of the city stays close, even when we aren't close to it anymore.
