The Seafarer

The Seafarer

A Poem by Jofer Serapio
"

During the Leadership Seminar... XD

"

Thousands and thousands of nights,
He's left with naught to sacrifice.
Far from where his heart rests
The horizon beckons him,
Though he detests.

Off into the blue pristine waters
His thoughts, his dreams, he savors.
For no longer he shall be free.
When dawn breaks the morrow,
He will be of the sea.

Bid adieu to the seafarer!
Let him stay with her a bit longer.
Let him be for one last night
For one more day,
Let him see his light.

I'm not much of a poet, but your words tell a striking story.

I love these tales of the sea, being an ex-sailor. "Let him stay with her a bit longer" really strikes home. There were many times when I wished that. A great poem, Jofer. Sam
