Warm Gentle Breeze

Warm Gentle Breeze

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

Warm Gentle Breeze
not warm like muffins
fresh from the steaming oven
tanned, domed caps
more as an infant's breath; close
as taste.
not gentle like downy feathers, nor
mother's soft skin touch, nor as
aubergine dew drops leave traces; but
more as memories conjure dreams un-
awakened and smiling bubbles from the well.
breezes not like those first in Spring from
the south; nor those rare in late Fall
sixty degrees and lemon chiffon
but like in facing sightless
weight is lifted from shoulders; tension from necks
melting directly into a
warm gentle breeze

oh gosh I know that breeze ... its like the closing your eyes and feeling the universe kiss your cheeks ... I love that moment of melting between me and the rest of reality ... You know when I was in Kyoto, Japan, I was in a Zen temple with a friend of mine and unusually this Zen temple which is usually very busy was momentarily quiet. I sat on the wooden verandah looking out onto the famous zen garden and closed my eyes and that breeze you talk of above, well that's what I felt as time stood still and I gathered up all of my senses to keep that tiny moment with me forever ... ahh ... and wen I close my eyes right now, it's there and it holds that little piece of magic that connects us all.

Thank you for taking me back there ... X

I was glad to find and you are welcome my friend.
Gah! *rolls over and knocks into a table idk* Do I even have words to describe this feeling?
"aubergine dew drops leave traces" What a visual this gives, so calming~
"memories conjure dreams" Ugh. My heart. I really love this phrase so much. Dreams are often related to memories and vice versa. Memories are not exact and differ upon each remembrance. Dreams are memories of life; perhaps, they are more accurate? Or they hold something we keep secret even to ourselves.. Ah, this really is so fascinating. It gets me pondering.
As for the whole of the piece, it rolls off the tongue like rolling hills on a mild day. The picture was a perfect ending touch. I feel like cozying up with some warm, honeyed tea now, hmm~~ :)

The descriptions of what it is and isn't are so on point. It widdles it down to the sharp point you are trying to convey.

Nicely written.

Beautiful and flowing. Your descriptions are excellent and I can image just the breeze for each one, all different, but all wonderful in their ways.

More than happy to praise such a beautiful scene of words. :)
It is said the universe is shared within a breeze, and who am I to dispute such a gloriously expressed moment of magical wonderment.

Gene,
I think you've masterfully and emotionally shared the beauty and fullness of this ideal, with sheer poetical perfection … in the least, you've taken my mind and spirit there.
What an amazingly, gorgeously-inspiring, and moving painting with which you've so appropriately graced your writing … sighhh*

Most grateful thanks to you for sharing this soul-touching piece, my wonderfully skilled Friend! ⁓ Richard : )

Transports me to early summer, parked up on the bench in my back garden, only coffee, quiet and the pooch for company. The suns warmth welcomed onto my face as a soft breeze ruffles the leaves overhead... bliss.
Lovely words E
