The Gathering

The Gathering

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

if this poem sets a certain mood for you, though the video is ten minutes long, you might like it ;)

"
The Gathering
my gloaming passed
nonchalant, fine silken silt sifting through
window and door with disregard
IT collected like crows convening in
Oaks of empty scabbards
rattling raucous discord the
dissonance has abraded comfort ......... you, your
ice pack shouldered: when?........................i
can not garner - the melded colors have become too thick
crows stilt stepping little yellow claws tic
tic old frozen earth
how could i divine such a thing
your leaving as the flock suddenly bursts
an ice pack proffered for my disease ...... this
heart.

This truly is a wonderful poem, story, visual - a painting in words, in fact. Tis one of the best i've read for a long, long time. Now why do i say that.. thoughts just sped out of me?!

Your use of language, the way you've broken your phrases is as if your eyes were moving here to there to here and then, there.. watching the flight of the crows... watching their behaviour, their arguing.. and how perhaps, you were reminded of Life.. how things and behaviour work inside it, roots up.

Know that if i read your poem again, other wee scenes and feelings will buzz around my early morning head. That is what good and sincere writing is supposed to do, but rarely does.

Wonderful: (.. the melded colors have become too thick

My deep delving delivered this eve and left me wondering how and why I had not found these words before... and just in case I am beginning to sound boring, I truly refuse to apologise, but revel instead in my own ecstasy having found this priceless poem Gene... tho now read several times over and squinted at twice I gotta take a break and check in again later.. this is what poetry is about and no kidding.... welcome and true.. N :)
The lines mesmerize- broken like the crows’ caw..Your dark brushstrokes paint a coven of these dark emissaries and harbingers of death..or are they symbolic of painful, lethal memories that gather and scream for release into flight? Poe-esque in black-cloaked feelings of despair, repulsion perhaps? Haunting, poignant, brilliant write. Bravo E.N.!!

So much vulnerable revelation of the deep deep place of heart; I liked your use of words- My gloaming passed, sift-sifting, oaks of empty scabbards, melded colors become to thick, crows stilt stepping, ice pack proffered for my disease....this heart. Trying to rewrite the whole wonderful thing so i just focused on what I could. Your use of punctuation really brings out a lot of flavor. Your amazing. Well anyway that's all for now thanks also for the intense, deep music. It was so heavy and dark in swirling emotion. Loved it.........................Bless you sir! Kathy

The heart is so valuable and it first senses darkness
Some instilled by others
Some just seem to be a reproduction of circumstance
We strive to keep that soul
clean of all that may stain it

At least this is how i saw this one

Nothing less than splendiferous in wording, mood and video. You have melded all together marvelously and nonchalantly to spotlight the fighting of the crows and bring it all to memory...:)..............
