prisms

rose and glass

clinking them i drink

scented fresh Chardonnay  

bouquet red blush

pulling on one leg at a time

i wear cotton fast to sleep

little worlds of bliss

a kiss

i pray my soul to keep

i 'got' the first stanza but not he 2nd.
i couldn't quite 'get' the juxtaposition of the 2 stanzas, a bit too esoteric for my brain, einstein.
then reading the comments from junglee & ardra i understood the whole poem.
it seems i have to read people's comments for my brain to comprehend your 'sui generis' poetry.
but i keep trying !

bless you so much for reading .. i read comments sometimes as well ... words do funny things to us i think .. just a phrase or two can throw me in completely the wrong direction ... if i check others' reviews it many times puts the light on for me ... but i think we all agree that what one gets from a poem is valid ..no matter .. its inspiring feelings, images, and directions that count .. no matter what they are to one person or another .. you are really putting a smile on me face this morning ..so happy you didn't just "forget about it" and move on without sharing ..thanks so much!

after a long days maceration, I tend to blush at such prose.... My sister (an artist) once told me that everything is violet upon leaving home to never return so i bought a pair of purple sunglasses and have worn them ever since, so I have to agree with her. Very contemplative writing Mr Noodle!

:) thanks Bad! i recall an acquaintance back in the 60s that wore purple glasses ... i always thought he was pretty cool ... i think it a good thing to see through them from time to time ... no matter the brutal truths around us ... some respite from it is healing for me ;) top o' the mahrnin' to ya sir!
