The Deep

The Deep

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

this is a lipogram i wrote for a class (same class the cinquaine was written for) the lipogram, for those who are unfamiliar with, is a poem using one vowel only. i chose "E"

"
"The Deep"
The endless Ether
left deep clefts
heed me
keep knees free
                                     enter the descent
                                                                     Hell's decree bends the rent
See me!?
Steep we creep
Spent.
Endless Ether we flee

It’s a different kind of creative joy when we are able to produce worthwhile expression within the limitation of format and structure. For me that’s the supreme kind of satisfaction. I read the endless twists, turns and bends as we navigate, crawl, hurtle through the all pervading ether to our ordained ends. Appreciated very much, E 💕

E is elevating, exciting and engrossing. This is hard to pull off. I will stick with all the vowels (weapons) in this war to Express mysElf. Thanks, Einstein.

never heard of it but from what ya say and what I see, you paid more than just lip service to this particular form... even without the explanation tho this would have been a most enjoyable and intriguing write, in its own right... nothing quite like hurtling through ether, ether is there E.... N..... D x

I think the theme here is the struggle, The victory of light in the darkness....the listening of sound in the silence....A calliope!

Interesting and enigmatic my friend. I can follow this through on many sensitive levels. Perhaps and this is my favourite we need to open ourselves up to the ether to create fully. An excellent piece Gene.

Beyond the clouds, flying free.....or perhaps hell opening up and allowing you entrance. In either case, the flow of words is mesmerizing. Interesting form. Of course you chose "E"....we all knew you would! :) Lydi**

Sending hugs your way, my friend. Take care.
the cinquaine was spreading like a virus here (of course the very good one ;) ) now You give us this challenging form, I'm sure it will be spreading like a virus too :)

I like the format, the way Your words played slowly as they were going down the page, made feel like I'm floating free as a tiny atom in the air, our years going down like Your words, then we will be buried under earth, going deep but not there, going deep up, as our souls fading, flying into the sky, this one is very interesting and have a profound touch, and surely what else than the E You would use as a vowel ;)
