Temptations

Temptations

A Poem by RaccoonFox
"

random poem I wrote

"
The darkness of the heart
Can rip us apart
There is nothing in it to gain
I have lost you again
There is no need to pretend
Now I'm alone and in pain
The pain it consumes me day after day
I'm just sitting here wasting my life away
I stand out in the rain to try to wash away the pain
But all the temptations and lust keep returning to my mind
Everyone you have chased and tried to hide
Has done nothing but make me hollow inside
And now that you're lying here limp on the floor
I've found out that I will lose you no more
Even though your pale and cold to the touch
I realize how greatly I've missed you so much
The bottle on the floor
We stir no more
Together forevermore
